Allison hosts Health Fair
On
Thursday, January 17, the Twin Hills Health Center hosted an employee
Health Fair at Allison Crane & Rigging from 1-6 pm. Included in the
festivities were blood pressure screenings, pressure point therapy, and
a Power Point presentation that outlined proper lifting techniques.
In
addition to Twin Hills, vendors included Beltone Hearing, who offered
free hearing tests, West Branch Drug and Alcohol, who spoke about the
dangers of drugs and alcohol, as well as various informational booths.
Dave
Remick, of Associate Builders and Contractors, was also on hand to
discuss OSHA Rights and Responsibilities. Allison’s foreman had many
questions for Dave on various topics such as mining laws and safety
issues. It’s always an informative day when Dave is on hand!
Door
prizes were also given out to thank everyone who participated in such a
positive event, and included gift certificates, tools, cash, and a
grand prize of a Plasma TV. This year’s event was a huge success, with
next year shaping up to be even bigger!
Special
